As you may have seen in the news or experienced firsthand, Los Angeles is on fire. Two large fires, the Palisades and Eaton fires, continue to burn through homes, businesses, and neighborhoods where people, pets, and wildlife call home. Much of the city remains on alert and at risk. This limited edition print run is fundraising to support two non-profits:

• Watch Duty, an app that has been crucial for keeping up-to-date on the status of the fires, evacuation warnings, and resources for those fighting the fire and those impacted

• Pasadena Humane Society, a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals and especially crucial in supporting the surrounding communities and animals impacted by the Eaton fire

This illustration, titled “LA 2050” was created in response to an art competition years ago on the theme of climate change. I foresaw a world where these fires become such a norm, it’s where our children play and lives must be adjusted to an apocalyptic, surreal level. Unfortunately, I think I overshot it with 2050, and increasingly this is becoming the scary reality of so many. Last year I brought the original art to several shows and received inquiries about prints. If you’re interested in having this art in your home, now is the time and it will support important causes.

Like my other prints, these will be printed on archival giclée velvet fine art paper with a half inch border. Size is 8×10.

Important Production Timeline Expectations: I am treating these a bit like a pre-order. The fundraiser will run until January 25th. At that time, the prints will be ordered from my print shop partner and I will work on sending out prints as soon as I receive them. Please expect 4-6 weeks from 1/25/2025 to receive your print (domestic US). If I personally become impacted by the fires, I will update this listing and social media with next steps.
